Software AG's Terracotta unit has announced BigMemory 3.7, the latest version of its in-memory big data management solution. With 3.7, customers can utilise terabytes of RAM per server, and scale up by adding servers.
Other new features include in-memory data indexing for searches without significant overhead, allowing searches with predictable low latencies across terabytes of data. Enhanced security with transport level SSL is also implemented.
In one case study, a large national financial institution uses Terracotta to provide accurate fraud detection that can keep up with peak processing loads. With BigMemory, the company can identify fraud events in real-time, reducing their fraud detection-to-notification time from 45 minutes to less than four seconds.
