ParAccel has announced general availability of its Hadoop On Demand Integration Module, a connector that applies the power of ParAccel’s analytic platform to Hadoop data or analytic results.
The combination marries Hadoop's strength in archiving, filtering, transformation, text analytics, and batch analytics with ParAccel's Analytic Platform, which was built to handle complex analytics on massive amounts of data, at high speed. To collaborate within hybrid environments, ParAccel also built integration modules, providing on-the-fly access to other databases, big data platforms, such as Hadoop, and streaming data.
The ParAccel Hadoop integration module uses both SQL and user defined functions to combine data from Hadoop with local data. The same module allows analysts to initiate a MapReduce job, and combine the results with those from locally stored data.
